A childhood sketch by Muhammad Ali, an inveterate doodler, conserved in the collection of Hank Kaplan, the U. S. foremost boxing historian, who died in Florida in 2007 at age 88. Though Kaplan's day job was to toil for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Miami, he had longtime friendships with fighters such as Ali, Liston, Gavilan and Ezzard Charles.
