Zanja

Zanja, 2009, acrylic on canvas, 96 in x 84 in.

Zanja is the last of a series of paintings I've been doing in the Buena Vista East studio based on "revolutionary" Cuban logotypes from the Sixties. They are also a graphic speculation about potential degenerations and appropriations of those logos by futuristic Havana neighborhood gangs.
