Eduardo Sarmiento is a Cuban-American artist. He graduated from the Superior Institute of Design (ISDI), in Havana, with a first class honours degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. After graduating he worked as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator for many cultural institutions and publishing houses, also he used to be an associate professor of illustration and poster design at ISDI.
Sarmiento's illustrations has been widely published in magazines (including Texas Monthly, YRB and ESPN), newspapers, posters & advertising. He has illustrated more than 10 children's books. Since 2007 he has launched his own signature collection of more than 50 t-shirts for ® Funky Urban.
Sarmiento's work is included in many private collections in the United States, Spain, Cuba and Mexico.
